Product Description
The composite wear plate is composed of two parts, mild steel plate and alloy wear layer, the alloy wear layer is generally 1/3~1/2 of the total thickness, the work by the substrate to provide the strength, toughness and plasticity of the resistance to external forces, and the alloy wear layer to provide the wear performance to meet the requirements of the specified working conditions.
There is a metallurgical bond between the wear layer of the composite wear plate alloy and the substrate. Through special equipment and automatic welding process, the high hardness self-protective alloy wire is evenly welded on the substrate, and the composite layer number one to two or even multiple layers, due to the different shrinkage ratio of the alloy during the composite process, there are uniform horizontal cracks, which is the outstanding feature of wear-resistant steel plate.
The composite wear plate is mainly made of chromium alloy, and other alloys such as manganese, molybdenum, niobium and nickel are also added. Carbide microhardness can reach above HV1700-2000 and surface hardness can reach HRC58-62, alloy carbide has strong stability at high temperature, maintain high hardness, but also has good oxidation resistance, within 500 ºC, completely normal use.TECHNICAL DETAILS

- Hardness: According to the wear-resistant layer thickness, different usage, wear-resistant alloy surface hardness HRC56-65, the highest hardness of Chromium Carbide can be HV1800.
- WEAR RESISTANCE: According to lab test for wear resistance, WALDUN chrome carbide overlay steel is 20 times that of low carbon steel. And 8 times that of heat treated wear resistant steel. Test data of surface wear resistance and 75% depth wear resistance of ASTM-G65A dry sand show that it has high wear resistance.

Performance characteristics.
High abrasion resistance: Adopting the alloy system common to international wear-resistant composite steel plate, it has excellent abrasion resistance to abrasive grains, and its abrasion resistance is much higher than that of heat-treated wear-resistant steel, cast wear-resistant cast iron, and its abrasion resistance is also much higher than that of spray welding or thermal spraying.
Easy to process: wear-resistant composite steel plate can be made into standard size plate, light weight, easy and flexible processing, due to the use of low carbon steel substrate, so can be formed inward cold bending, can be cut with plasma arc, carbon arc and other heat sources. It can be welded together to make the welding work on the spot save time and convenient. Thus, this material is in line with the current international manufacturing industry's mainstream use of welded structures instead of cast structures to reduce structural self-weight.
High performance-to-price ratio: The cost of manufacturing a machine using wear-resistant composite steel plates is higher than that of ordinary materials, but the service life of the machine increases and the performance-to-price ratio is several times higher than that of ordinary materials, taking into account maintenance costs, spare parts costs and downtime losses.
